Do you feel us? Do you see us?
Amongst the rust, our bones- covering the dust,
On this good ol’ burning hearth called PLANET EARTH!
Do you feel us? Do you hear us?
Scream; amongst the roaring flames, in which we burn,
Like steaks, on a bon(e) fire of an imperialized Earth!
Do you feel us? Do you smell us?
Stink; amongst the burning bags of plastic, that cover us,
Like skins and peels of fruits, hanging off a garbage truck, our rotting Earth!
Do you feel us? Do you really NEED us?
Or will you discard us, deeming us surplus,
To requirements of your modus operandi for this neglected Earth!
I believe we are in the age of distrust,
Our very pride has cost us,
Our place of wine like taste to our names,
And in turn has turned us into mindless slaves,
On us they dictate, but the fault is of our own, to be foolish enough to desert ‘Planet Earth’.
Thus we see the death of our innocent birth in the flames of a burning Earth.
