They saw him, smiling,
he was playing,
with an unfinished car,
he was designing,
they went up to him,
with a greeting
that was more of a sneering,
they were jeering,
his piece of brilliance,
picked it up, torched it
and left it charring,
along with him, weeping;
on the outside, crying;
inside – he was slowly dying
An extra terrestrial
to the people
He was their guilt avoiding confessional
but their sins rose like an untilled steeple
An outcast
to the mass
His mind defined fast
and that made him a tall mast
An extra terrestrial outcast,
Oh, they took his life at last
There he was on his cycle,
paddling with the gentle breeze
unknown that it would soon be,
given for recycle,
there they came,
to halt his feet,
that wheeled ahead,
a smack in the face,
blood from the nose,
dripping on his shoe lace,
the bike was picked on,
and was thrown in the
grand junkyard,
like it was a tonkard,
An extra terrestrial
to the people
He was their guilt avoiding confessional
but their sins rose like an untilled steeple
An outcast
to the mass
His mind defined fast
and that made him a tall mast
An extra terrestrial outcast,
Oh, they took his life at last
Mind blank, hands on doodle
yet no lack of genius,
sketch of a ghost’s skootle
but heck, came in the hideous
father, unfit to own a scooter
a spat, with the shopowner
anger and envious of his
high thinking son,
picked up a chair,
and smack! there it was,
an act so heinous,
An extra terrestrial
to the people
He was their guilt avoiding confessional
but their sins rose like an untilled steeple
An outcast
to the mass
His mind defined fast
and that made him a tall mast
An extra terrestrial outcast,
Oh, they took his life at last
He was dragged;
blood trails on the mat,
fluid oozing from his brain,
picked up and dumped in the drain,
his fate hidden from unsuspecting eyes,
by a city cowering, thanks to the rain,
now he’d never bicycle in the lane,
he’d never make paper planes
a tedious planning spent in vain
they hacked their own gain
the alien had left their terrain!
An extra terrestrial
to the people
He was their guilt avoiding confessional
but their sins rose like an untilled steeple
An outcast
to the mass
His mind defined fast
and that made him a tall mast
An extra terrestrial outcast,
Oh, they took his life at last
